Handily located just 30 miles from Glasgow, The Marine Hotel has long been one of the gems of the Ayrshire coast. It’s particularly popular with golfers who love the fact that it overlooks the 18th hole of the Royal Troon course.

Purpose built in 1894, the hotel was given 4 AA stars in 1912 and has maintained that rating ever since – the only Scottish hotel to have done so.

Afternoon tea

Available Sunday to Friday, from 2pm to 4pm, this offer is for two people to enjoy a magnificent afternoon tea in the Truin restaurant in The Marine Hotel.

While drinking in the views over the Clyde Firth and onto Arran, guests will be served finger sandwiches; scones with jam and cream along with tempting cakes such as strawberry meringues and chocolate délices.

Tea or coffee will, of course, be offered, as well as a glass of Prosecco each.
