‘The smiling spring comes in rejoicing’ is how Robert Burns described this gorgeous season.
Make the absolute most of it with today’s Big Deal on a stay in the lovely Enterkine House Hotel, deep in Burns country.
A mere forty minutes from Glasgow, Enterkine House Hotel is a privately owned, four star, country house hotel which is set on a 300 acre Ayrshire estate.
It is the perfect location for a tranquil short break.
Choice of rooms
Option one of this Big Deal is for two people to relax on an overnight stay in a double room in the Kirk House at Enterkine House Hotel.
Option two is for an overnight stay for two in a double room in the Main House at Enterkine.
Both options are available Tuesday to Sunday and include a full Scottish breakfast in the morning plus a two course dinner from the set menu in the sumptuous Browne’s Restaurant.
The main house offers six beautifully appointed bedrooms with stunning views over the estate.
In keeping with Enterkine’s luxury hotel status, each of these spacious rooms with their high ceilings and large windows has been traditionally furnished and decorated.
Kirk House is a large detached converted farm house in the grounds of the estate. A two minute walk from the main house, it has six, comfortable cottage-style bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms.
Using fresh, local ingredients, the spectacular food produced by Head Chef Paul Moffat is the jewel in the crown at Enterkine House Hotel.
Both options include dinner served in Browne’s Restaurant within the main house. The restaurant is formal but relaxed in atmosphere with elegant décor sympathetic to the period house.
The restaurant is set against the backdrop of panoramic views over the woodland estate but the views on the plate are just as attractive.
The menus change regularly but typical dishes might be the ballotine of spring lamb; the fillet of red mullet with baby fennel, asparagus and wild mushrooms or the iced honey parfait which is served with granola crumble, toffee sauce and golden raisins.
Enterkine House Hotel has lots of fans on TripAdvisor. We’ve edited this recent review for length:
‘Superb… everything was superb. The organisation was second to none. The food was amazing and, being a fussy eater I usually just nibble, but I ate everything and loved it! The staff were attentive but discreet… My room was lovely and overlooked the gardens with breathtaking views, a very comfy bed, a peaceful night’s sleep after a fantastic party. The location of the hotel is perfect and the lovely, long drive makes quite an entrance. The grounds are beautiful especially if you fancy a stroll or need a breath of fresh air… I’m definitely coming back to Enterkine.’
Did we mention that Enterkine House Hotel was only forty minutes from Glasgow – ideal for a mini-break.
Charming rooms, fine food and a woodland estate in spring – if that sounds idyllic then seize today’s Big Deal with Enterkine House Hotel.
