This is a fine dining restaurant that uses the best Scottish produce to create French inspired dishes. Menus of course change frequently but typical dishes starters might include pithivier of Highland game with celeriac purée and a bitter chocolate sauce or ballotine of foie gras with a salad of baby leeks and toasted brioche.
The mains are most certainly something to look forward to. The menu might include delights such as the steamed wild sea bass with farmed Ocietra caviar, linguine pasta, cucumber and oyster and champagne velouté or roast loin of Borders’ roe deer with braised gem lettuce, goat’s cheese gnocchi and sauce grand veneur.
Located just a 30 minute drive from Glasgow, Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond is part of Cameron House Hotel. Balloch train station is around a ten minute drive away and there are regular buses from Balloch too. There is ample car parking at the hotel.
