    Excellent restaurant

Excellent food and good choice. We had the Mother's Day menu which was plentiful and of a good quality. This wasn't what was advertised on your website, however someone from the restaurant called us in the morning with the alternative menu. It was a very busy time and watching the staff they all had their particular jobs which makes it run like a well oiled machine. The staff are delightful, make you feel very welcome and no request is any bother for them. This is way we continue to frequent this restaurant.

Cosy Italian restaurant in Bridge of Weir

Amaretto is a cosy and modern Italian restaurant in the idyllic surroundings of the Renfrewshire countryside in Bridge of Weir and offers a vibrant atmosphere with welcoming service.

Tasty Italian cooking

Amaretto’s menus offer a delicious variety of all the Italian favourites. There are numerous authentic antipasti dishes to start your meal, from sogliola fritta – deep fried fresh lemon sole strips, coated in a light batter, served on a bed of mixed leaves with a citrus mayonnaise dip – to the classic insalata tricolore – fresh creamy mozzarella with plum tomatoes & rocket leaves in an Italian dressing.

Mains cover stonebaked pizza and pasta dishes as you would expect as well as separate meat and fish dishes. Popular choices include pollo all’Italiana – supreme of chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with pesto, sundried tomato and mozzarella cheese, served in a garlic and Italian white wine sauce – and the filetto di spigola – pan-fried fillet of sea bass cooked in a lemongrass, spring onion and Italian white wine sauce.

If you have room for dessert the affogato speciale is well worth a try – two scoops of vanilla or chocolate ice cream topped with a shot of hot Italian espresso, amaretti biscuits and a drizzle of your favourite liqueur.
