Prices hiked for Mother's Day, despite it not actually being Mothering Sunday . . .£19.95 for 3 courses.
Tomato and mascarpone soup was watery and tasteless. We also waited far too long for it, about half an hour, yes the place was busy, but isn't that the point?
My mum had the roast pork, which she really enjoyed, despite her roast potatoes not being served at the same time. I opted for the only vegetarian main, spinach and beetroot tortellini, the beetroot was actually just sprinkled over, not in the parcels, but it was delicious.
Dessert was bog standard 'sticky toffee pudding' with half melted ice-cream, obviously left standing.
My mum opted for the strawberry and passion fruit pavlova, only after being assured it was home made meringue not a shop bought brittle dusty nest. Needless to say, she was disappointed.
Service was rather slow, starters/desserts dull and not £40 worth.
