Award-winning steakhouse and bar in West End
The Butchershop Bar & Grill is an award-winning steakhouse and bar on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow’s West End. A mix of Manhattan-style design, sleek service and innovative cocktails, it takes great pride in serving the best dry-aged, 100% grass-fed Scotch beef. Background jazz and soul keep it all buzzing inside and the outside terrace is always much sought after on sunny days.
Scotch beef from fourth generation butchers
The Butchershop Bar & Grill is all about the best beef. Grass-fed Black Angus and Limousin cattle from John Gilmour Butchers and Cairnhill Farm are at the heart of the menus. The six house cuts are augmented by signature ribs and T-bone cuts plus the Chateaubriand to share. The house speciality is the range of four cuts on the bone including the mighty tomahawk, a 45-day dry aged steak cooked on a half-meter long rib bone.
Of course, The Butchershop Bar & Grill has a full range of sides, sauces and starters such as the Cumbrae oysters; crispy fried, soft shell crab and the black pudding Scotch egg. Main course alternatives to steak include a pea, mint and asparagus risotto, Ayrshire pork chops and a seared fillet of sea bass with mussels, queenie scallops, white wine, garlic, cream and a chive mash.
