Arrived at 6.15 to an empty restaurant - but within 45 minutes it began to fill up which made the atmosphere more enjoyable. A warm homely feel to the decor, with exposed stone walls and a mixture of styles of chairs and cushions. The meal was 2 courses plus coffee for £8.95 - excellent value - I decided to be greedy and ordered a pudding which at an extra £2.50 was very good value, however the Hot Chocolate Brownie was very dissapointing, thin and dry - that aside the wrest of the meal - prawn cocktail, terrine and beer battered haddock and chips were very good with excellent attentive service. I would definately go back.
