Disappointing sausages - even on the £10-for-2-courses menu I expect a higher quality than basic, pink-dyed, slightly synthetic feeling cylinders. My companion's Lamb Gigot was much better, although the veg for both were delicious. The mixed berry trifle was a touch under par too, having been left out of the fridge before serving so the cream topping was warm. The cranachan tasted better but was still not cold. Gently slow service allowed a leisurely lunch & gossip but half an hour wait for the mains to arrive seemed excessive given the simplicity of the dishes.
