The welcome was non-existent and the service was a bit slow and uneven; confirming we were eating off the a la carte menu, as the table d'hote was very limited, then disappearing for a further 10 minutes. The starters were good quality, though my chicken/black pudding was very small, the mussels were good, and good-sized. The mains were very good; chicken kiev for me, great flavours, juicy chicken, veg and potatoes. The risotto was excellent too - we were both very pleased with them. We didn't stay for dessert as we had plans, and had to quickly ask for the bill as things had been a bit slow.
