Neighbourhood cafe bar on Dumbarton Road
Located on Dumbarton Road and part of the increasingly fashionable Broomhill area of the West End, St Louis Cafe Bar is a laidback, cool and friendly neighbour joint. Open all day, seven days a week, it features live music every Saturday night and the occasional Sunday afternoon.
As well as all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch menus, St Louis Cafe Bar offers an evening menu with an emphasis on American classics. Draught craft beers; bottled world beers and a good selections of wines, spirits and cocktails add to the atmosphere.
American favourites cooked from scratch
Ask the staff at St Louis Cafe Bar about their favourite menu picks and they will mention the range of gumbos, the chilli and the fishcakes while also rhapsodising about the selection of chunky burgers. We would put in a special mention for the numerous egg-based dishes on their brunch menu – especially the Stornoway black pudding with bacon and poached eggs.
Pulled pork on a brioche bun; sticky chicken wings and the New York Cheesecake give more of an idea of the diner-style dishes on offer here.
