Rating Sunday Lunch (Rating 4.2/5)
Well cooked and well served tasty Scottish food.
This was a great deal with a glass of wine or a soft drink included in our charge.
The waiter made us very welcome to the restaurant he was attentive and informative without being full on. Each of the courses were dispatched in no tme at all and our waiter did so on his own, Not even a steady flow of diners into the restaurant could not knock him off his stride.
The soup was hot, tasty and well seasoned, the chicken parfait light and smooth, also the prawn cocktail had a healthy portion of prawns.
The game casserole was a meaty feast and gamey without being overpowering, the pot roasted chicken was succulent and tender with a nice crisp skin with a healthy portion of potatoes and veg accompanying it. The roast beef was excellent, if you like big portions this is the one for you, a positively overflowing plate of Sunday comfort. Light home made Yorkies, two large tender slices of brisket beef and again a healthy portion of potato and veg accompanying it.
Its hard to see where you would get better value for money.
Any competitors reading this review would do well to consider that the dining experience is helped by great table staff and Roastit Bubbly Jocks has it spot on!
