About Brasserie at the Pond
'Average Afternoon Tea'
Catherine Anderson - 01/05/2015
The cakes and scones were fine and plenty of tea. They were also kind enough to give us a soft drink in place of the fizz.(one doesn't drink and the other was driving)The only thing I was dissappointed in was the sandwiches, 3 fingers of roast beef and 3 fingers of ham and cheese(which was pretty sparse)I had asked if any relishes or chutneys etc could be served on the side, which they did. Lovely staff and nice surroundings.
'Mothers' Day Afternoon Tea'
Morna Roberts - 16/03/2015
This was a joint treat by my daughter for me, and by us for my mum-in-law. We wanted something low-key as she is elderly and this was exactly right - good value, good food and no fuss. The selection of cakes and sandwiches was not the best we have ever known, but this was expected at this price. All the important ingredients were there - the prosecco was well chilled, and the staff were very attentive - clearly prepared for the busy day they had.
