La Parmigiana is an up market Italian Restaurant from the old school close to Kelvinbridge. It's dark red walls, crisp linen table cloths and mature waiting staff take you back 40 years when this establishment opened. We visited on Mother's day and enjoyed the tasty well prepared food from a varied set menu.
The compact restaurant was busy with diners and the atmosphere was lively with families of all ages on a special Sunday. We were welcomed and shown to our table with some hesitation as the waiting staff were under a bit of pressure. We were not in a hurry and our food was served efficiently and courteously.
We particularly enjoyed the lobster ravioli, pan fried veal and stuffed guinea fowl. The desserts were luscious and beautifully presented.
There is an all Italian wine list, barring champagne and some wines by the glass. Prices like the food are at the top end for Glasgow and I would recommend the set menus.
Great for good quality classic Italian food in a traditional setting. Recommended
