Arrived for lunch on a cold and snowy day but the warm welcome and a lovely fire soon thawed us out! We ate in a smaller dining room with some character, a nice fire, only four tables and the 'wine cabinet'. A cosy atmoshpere was a bit 'spoiled' by one loud diner but staff and service were very good. The food, while well presented and courses well spaced, was good without being outstanding! Kind of lacked a depth of flavour/taste and the wine at £27-a-bottle was only OK! Don't think we'll be rushing back, sorry.
