This was our first visit to Hotel du Vin and expectations were high, we arrived early and were given the chance to relax in the bar with our glass of champagne, which was ideal, nice comfy bar area with a country house feel, we were also given the menus to peruse and give our orders before we entered the dining room, again another impeccable touch. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive particularly the Sommelier who knew his stuff. The food was divine, not too much as to feel stuffed and just enough to know you had had a great lunch, my wife had the Kipper Parfait which was delightful and I opted for the chicken and Tuscan bean terrine, main courses were beef bourguignon and Pork Belly for me, (Pork Belly was amazing). We then had mango mousse which was light as a feather and for dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and an amazing Panna Cotta. Wine list was great, nice to see Greywacke by Paul Judd at such a reasonable price.
