As an established name in Glasgow, I was really looking forward to testing this place out. All in all, an enjoyable lunch, but a few things niggled me and just fell short of making this a "wow" experience. It's a beautiful premise, but on arrival, no one there to greet. Left standing in hallway waiting. Then, immediately rushed through to table and I felt it would've been nice to have been shown to the bar for a drink, with the menu to peruse. Courses were served a bit too quickly and wine initially ordered failed to arrive so had to ask for it. Food was nice, well presented and staff were courteous and slick, but lacked a calm, warm natured service style. Had to ask for the bill twice, so really, it all felt just a little bit like no one was anticipating our needs. Looking around, I noticed a slight shabbiness in the decor, something I didn't expect and yes, I would go back, but it's definitely more suited for a couples evening meal than a group dinning experience. There's now simply too many really good eating places in Glasgow for this place to become so complacent.
