  This is a beautiful building, with friendly staff and the food is good, if not fabulous. However, the organisation is really poor. We booked through 5pm for 6 people, but our table was for 4, with no alternatives available. I had to ask 3 times before they applied the 5pm discount to the bill. They over-charged us for wine, and they charged £20 more on my credit card than was on the bill. When I rang next day they were very very helpful and the whole thing was resolved to my satisfaction. But I'd rather they got it right first time. We will go back, because we like the place, but we will pay close attention to what we pay for.

• Fab food and waiting staff-just check your bill (Rating 5/5)

  Great sevice from witing staff - would definitely recommend the 3 for £10 "small plates" deal, as it's really good portions and lovely food. However, double check your bill when it comes as twice when I've been there the discounts have not been applied.

  We visited the Grosvenor Cafe on a busy Saturday night. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful they did appear to be short staffed. The food tasted lovely and was nicely presented. The cocktails went down a treat!
