Couldn’t make the original booking and rang the restaurant to explain. The Lady I spoke to was very pleasant and told me I had a week to re book but couldn’t book through 5pm Big Deal again as the voucher would show as redeemed but just to contact them to let them know my new date and time.
I emailed and explained I had booked through 5pm for previous week and asked for a new date and time and was emailed back saying that was fine.
When my friend and I arrived we were greeted and shown to a table but once the chap realised I had a voucher his attitude totally changed. He told me that I must book through 5pm and when I tried to explain what had happened he spoke over the top of me and seemed uninterested in what I had to say. He then said I will give you 5 minutes and walked away. My friend and I sat there extremely embarrassed and were unsure what to do. I remembered the confirmation email I received for my new booking and brought it up on my phone. My friend took it over to this man and only then did he come and take our order but we still felt uncomfortable after what was said about the voucher so couldn’t really relax.
The other staff serving us were nice and pleasant and the food was ok, we ordered 5 tapas and once we were finished we both were still hungry.
The desserts were the best thing we had off the menu to be honest.
The place is nice but was a bit too brightly lit so not great ambience going on.
Not a great start, not enough food so don’t think we will return.
