Athena Greek Taverna Review

  • Rating Rating 2.8/5
The pre theatre menu was basic with only a choice of chicken on a skewer or meatballs. There was no atmosphere for some reason hits of the 50s was being played on a tape a bit odd for a Greek resturaunt. We were 15mins late and was told that pre-theatre finished 15mins ago but on this occasion we could be served. We only paid £8.95 which did not include a drink so we did not expect too much. Our expectations were met we had a taxi back to our hotel and we were done and dusted in under a hr and we are not fast eaters.I think if we ordered of a Al a Carte menu we may have enjoyed it better but the old maxim was right in this case you only get for what you pay for (and this did not include bread rolls). If you looking for a good inexpensive night ou see my review on the Oran Mor.
