Ashoka Argyle Street (West End) Review

  • Rating Good quality and affordable. (Rating 4/5)
This restaurant is nice and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We got a good deal and the food was an all round hit. The only thing I would mention in relation to my dish is that I like spicy food and got the South Indian Garlic Chili, which I did not find spicy compared to other places I have eaten. But that is mostly a personal preference. One other thing I would mention that I wish was explained to me at the time was the fact that when poppadoms are ordered they come as a starter. I did not realize this and I was the only one at the table who did not want them. This meant I was sitting hungry until my main course came which was over an hour from arrival. Please not, the time delay was due to my friends chatting and eating the poppadoms slowly not down to the restaurant. Nevertheless, I wish I had known this in advance as I was starving waiting on the main. Overall, however, I would recommend it and would visit again.
