The food is what I would describe as 'average pub grub'. We had burgers and chips, which were fine, though the chips were bog standard oven chips and could def be improved upon. We also had the Marie prawn and haggis baked potatoes - our friends said the toppings were nice, but the potatoes themselves were far too small. The kids menu was much better, one had freshly cooked haddock and chips and cheesy garlic bread and her sister had homemade tomato and basil soup with pasta for her main course. Their puddings were also great and the range of kids choices was excellent, especially at 5.95 for 3 courses. Overall, this is a good place to go with kids -we were in the glass atrium which was a lovely place to sit, well provided with colour sheets and crayons and with access to the soft play upstairs. Booking with 5pm gave us 30% off the food, which brought the bill down to just over 40 quid for 4 adults and two kids, excellent value.
