Great deal and decent food. Lovely spot for kids but mostly because it's good for adults too.
'Great place on a gloomy sunday '

This was a really friendly place to visit for Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly and the food lovely. I will definitely be back for Sunday lunch and try an evening visit soon.
Cosy restaurant in Shawlands
The Waverley Tearooms is a cosy bar and restaurant located in the south side of Glasgow in the popular Shawlands area. The venue has a welcoming atmosphere and is popular for those looking for a drink with friends or a bite to eat in its cosy but modern surroundings.
The restaurant is in the glass conservatory, ideal for people watching, or you may dine in the traditional Tea Room which has a floor to ceiling wine gantry. The Waverley also has the largest open air terrace and beer garden in the south side, great for al fresco dining in the summer.
Local & seasonal produce
The Waverley Tearooms emphasises that its menus use the finest local and seasonal produce where possible. It has a range of menus depending on when you’re dining.
The market menu features traditional options like pan seared chicken breast with chorizo and bean broth with herb mash potato and dressed rocket salad and sticky toffee pudding. A delicious Sunday roast menu has soup and pate starters with the traditional roast of the day for main.
The Waverley’s extensive a la carte menu covers lunch options like oven baked potatoes, sandwiches and melts with a grill section where you will find your steaks and burgers. If you like traditional dishes, you have plenty to chose from from the main course options such as steak pie, fish and chips and scampi.
