Contemporary Indian restaurant in Southside

Named after the Indian equivalent of Sloane Rangers, Shimla Pinks is a modern, family-run Indian on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow’s Southside. Spacious, airy and with an eye-catching decor, the staff pride themselves on providing service that is as professional as it is warm and welcoming.

Authentic Indian dishes

Shimla Pinks provides a wide range of traditional Indian dishes across several menus. Guests could go down the familiar route of sharing a samosa or pakora platter followed by a spicy balti or butter masala. Alternatively, you could choose a house speciality like the Pakistani fish curry. From parsee wedding dishes to achari pickle dishes, there is plenty of choice here.

Naturally, there is a range of meats and seafood cooked in the tandoor oven and vegetarians have the choice of several dishes like the dhingi dolma – cubes of paneer cheese, mushrooms and peppers all stir-fried with cumin. The set lunch and pre-theatre menus offer a more limited choice – perfect for a quick bite.
