Authentic Italian in Clarkston

Opened in 2014, Michaelangelo’s is a contemporary Italian restaurant in Clarkston. The team have a long and distinguished pedigree in Glasgow’s Italian restaurants and the experience shines through in the welcome and on the plate. The nine metre picture wall is a striking feature but the star of the show is the superb food produced by the kitchen.

Classics and regional Italian specials

The chefs at Michaelangelo’s prepare a wide range of classic Italian dishes as well as regional specials and well-known dishes which have been given a little twist. Popular starters include the bruschetta selection and the antipasti plates of charcuterie of seafood.

There are several pasta choices including the filled pasta of the day. The pizza oven is seldom cool and as, well as familiar toppings, it offers more exotic options such as the pear and brie calzone. From spicy Calabresian chicken to veal saltimbocca and fillet steak cooked in an aged balsamic reduction, meat-eaters have much to smile about. Seafood lovers are also well served with dishes such as the fritto misto and the king prawns prepared Roman style.
