I phoned them to confirm the booking and asked if another person could be added and they were very accommodating; however, that was the most satisfactory part. We arrived and when seated were given a table behind the glass partition at the front entrance with empty boxes and right next to the kitchen. It was awful. People were constantly passing us and although the waiters were attentive there was one who just constantly shouted and was really started to getting on my nerves. It felt like we were cut off from everyone else. The food was disappointing - I had mozarella sticks for my starter which were nothing special, the main was chicken fried in breadcrumb meant to be marinated in lemon and herbs but was tasteless and there was only a little bit of spaghetti so I wished there was more. The dessert was ok was just a chocolate cake which was light but nothing special. My mum enjoyed her lasagne and Christmas pudding but you can get better bruschetta other places! My aunt felt her dinner was pretty average too. This is the second time I've been to la fiorentina and we always seem to be given the worst table - this time behind a panel at the main entrance with boxes and away from the buzz of people and last time we were seated at stairs which if my mum had pushed her chair too far back she would've went down them. The food is nothing special and although the dinner was just over £20 each (we even got charged for the vegetables my aunt had with her veal) it's not worth it. Food is nothing special and disappointing. Never going back.
