family lunch was booked for 10 people and as the restaurant had drain issue we were offered he lairds room for private dining. At first this seemed perfect, however the service was quite slow and it took ages to get drinks for everyone, especially an alcohol free beer - took 20 minutes to find one. 2 people got wrong drinks. Had to ask several times for a jug of iced water. I felt disappointed that we couldn't eat in dining room, as had guests from america who would have appreciated the splendour of the brasserie, rather than being closed in the lairds room.. I felt that possibly whilst the staff were very pleasant, we were a bit forgotten because of the room we were in, and as a result we were later than planned for the wedding party were attending that day.
