I was a bit worried by a few negative reviews as I'm quite picky about my food however I was pleasantly surprised!
We arrived on a Friday afternoon, and were seated in the indoor 'al fresco' section of the bar overlooking the indoor square, this is my only complaint as there were plenty of free tables however we were seated right next to a large noisy group.
Service was attentive without being overbearing, tables, chairs and toilets were all clean (these things are important to me!).
Food was great, steak sandwich on Ciabatta was well cooked with decent cheese on a good slab of well toasted bread, a healthy (or perhaps unhealthy) serving of proper thick 'real' chips, with a side salad that was dressed and edible, not just there for decoration. Cajun chicken sandwich was also well cooked and flavorsome, with the same sides.
House Chenin Blanc was decent enough at £15 a bottle, however as with nearly every restaurant I ever go to marks off for tiny glasses of soft drinks which never taste great and are always overpriced!
However, I'd go back, and would recommend it to others as a nice place for informal dining, but somewhere a bit nicer that your average lunchtime fare.
