The meal was of a good standard. The haggis stuffed mushrooms were slightly burnt but still tasted good. The steak was cooked perfectly rare and the peppercorn sauce was amazing.
A few points for improvement: for such a lovely steak at a £3 supplement, there was no steak knife offered.
Paper napkins were of a poor quality - I would have thought either linen napkins or better quality paper napkins would have been more suitable.
We booked a 3 course meal for 7.30pm, and were hoping to have a break between main course and dessert. However, we were advised that the kitchen was closing at 9pm so we had to order quickly. I would have expected the kitchen to be open later to accommodate the diners in the restaurant.
