Ingram Wynd Review

  • Rating Rating 4/5
My partner and I booked a table on the 'Celtic Connections' promotion, wewere recieved warmly and seated immediately, we ordered a bottle of wine and our starter and main were ordered. We had the Cullen Skink and Haggis Mousse, both were very good and well presented. Then things went a little astray, we waited and waited on our main, I suspected that it had been served to another table, I was correct and the persons at the table ate it as well despite having ordered something completely different. Apologies were made and our dishes were brought, our 'Mince and Tatties' were very good but I was dissapointed with my Saddle of rabbit, the meat on two of the three portions was very tough and chewy also there were three small bones one of which lodged in my teeth. The bed of stovies it was served on was very good and saved the day. By way of thanks for out patience and understanding the cost of our bottle of wine was waved. In all it is a place I would return to, it is a new establishment and the staff are enthusiastic and keen to please, so I would give it a second chance but would avoid the rabbit.
