Ticking over, but not overly busy when we went in midweek. Had a starter and main with our 5pm deal voucher, my West Coast mussels were nice and the prawn linguine had a delicate but delicious sauce. My fish came in a light crispy batter and the flesh was meaty and came away in big flakes, but the hand cut chips seemed a bit over done. We stayed for a bottle of wine and dessert with both the Stick Toffee pudding and the honeycomb cheesecake surpassing our expectations. There is a bar downstairs, but no staff or patrons while we were there. The waiting staff were pleasant and unobtrusive, if a bit too quietly spoken. The music and atmosphere were pleasant, although when the music went a bit Italian I felt they would have been better keeping with the Scottish music they had on, as there are a number of high quality Italians in Merchant city. We were fine with the deal, but I would say a shade expensive if we'd eaten all three courses from the a la carte menu.
