Ingram Wynd Review

  • Rating The chef was having an off day (Rating 3.4/5)
Perhaps we caught Ingram Wynd on an off day as the restaurant was fairly busy with only 2 staff serving. It was obvious the kitchen was also under a bit of pressure or the chef was having an off day. The lunch menu has a good but restricted choice. The Haggis bon bons were hot and crispy while the Tomato & Caramelised Onion Tart Ta Tan was stodgy. The mains were tasty but the Whiting with herb crust and the Roast Chicken breast were well over cooked. Unfortunately, the lunch fell far short of my previous visits. The elements for an enjoyable meal were there but could do a lot better.
