Hutchesons Brasserie Review

  • Rating Hutchesons 19th July 14 (Rating 3/5)
We had looked forward to eating in the restaurant which is an absoulutely stunning building which has been refurbished to an excellent standard. Surroundings are oppulant with attention to detail. We ordered from the 5pm pre theatre menu. The starters were lovely and tasty i had the chicken liver parfait which was excellent. For the main course we ordered steak (medium) £3 supplement. Unfortunately, in my opinion our steak was tough and chewy which was very disappointing as our waiter had informed us that the resaurant owners also have the Butchershop (west end) where we have eaten on numerous occasions. As such we had high expectaions for our steak and our choice to have the steak was based upon this. Our waitress enquired to ask if everything was ok with our steak and i advised that it was tough and grisly. She apologised but we heard no more. The dessert was very nice we had Creme brulee which was a large portion. We will probably give the restaurant another try in a few months but will stay clear of the steak in future.
