My boyfriend and i were given a £50 Esca voucher as a gift and we totally enjoyed spending it. The restaurant was lovely with authentic music playing in the background. I had the fish of the day which was a beautifully cooked cod with tomato and parmesan crust, delish! We had a bottle of rose wine too which at £14 was quite reasonable for Glasgow city centre. Would definitely go back.

  • Great food and service (Rating 4.6/5)
This is our second time here and it didn't disappoint. The food and service were excellent and not rushed.

  • Squahed in, food hit n miss. (Rating 3.6/5)
Gorgeous busy restaurant, but tables are too close together. My husband and his friend were squashed in to the point were they could not move their chairs or legs which left them uncomfortable and unable to relax throughout the meal. Food was okay, Minestrone soup was unseasoned and bland. Mussels were very small, but there was lots of them. Ragu sauce for breaded chicken was tasteless, no flavour to it, but chicken was cooked perfectly. Steak meals and Carbonara were full of flavour. All food was served piping hot with generous portion sizes. Alcohol prices were quite high in comparison with other restaurants and bars close by. There was only two types of lager available both Italian, which doesn't suit all tastes.

  • Great Italian Restaurant (Rating 4.6/5)
We arranged to meet a friend here and were prepared to wait outside. However she had arrived before us and we were met outside by the maitre d' who told us she was inside; an excellent touch. We were dining early and there were only a couple of tables occupied, but the place livened up after half an hour or so. The music was a little intrusive but not raucous. Service was excellent with no impression that they were in a hurry to turn the table. The food was excellent, with good-sized portions. House wine by the glass, both red and white, was perfectly palatable. All in all an excellent pre-cursor to a fabulous concert starring Nicola Benedetti at the City Halls. Will certainly go back.
