ESCA & Chisholm 27 Review

  • Rating Fabulous food and fabulous staff (Rating 5/5)
My friend and I went to ESCA for a bargain pre-theatre meal for two, which consisted of a main course and large glass of wine for each person. As we were going to the nearby Tron theatre that evening I had sourced where to go for a pre-theatre meal on '' and so I took a chance on buying a voucher for ESCA. It really was the bargain of the century! It was the first time we'd gone and we were delighted with everything.. From the moment we entered and were seated to when we left we felt very valuaed as customers. The friendly staff were all so nice and attentive, but were not in your face or hovering and fulfilled all and every need we had promptly and efficiently. My friend went to powder her nose and the waitress brought our meals. Without batting an eye the young woman politely offered to put my friend's dinner under the hotplate and no sooner was my friend back at the table when the waitress promptly returned to ask if she was ready for her food. When I say the food was fabulously tasty that''s an understatement. It was Heaven on a fork, I can't praise the chef enough. We can thoroughly recommend the lasange with garlic bread on the side and the creamy pollo pasta. Both plates of food were of a very high standard, hot and delicious and the portions plentiful and eventually every special mouthful of each was happily demolished by my friend and I. Even though we were full, spurred on by the convivial atmosphere and the mouth watering smells emanating from the kitchen we decided we might just manage a little more to eat. I'm slightly ashamed to say we both ordered the cheesecake. The portion we were served of this most delicious desert was a very generous one and it was served with a large amount of whipped cream and a substantial ball of strawberry ice-cream with strawberry syrup on the side. Despite handing over the voucher prior to ordering none of the staff we had contact with made us feel of less value and at no time were we made to feel that we should hurry, or that we should purchase more food or drinks, This visit was a delight from start to finish and I can truthfully say we will definately be back again and again. Well done guys you are a credit to the owners of ESCA - take note ESCA your staff are fab.
