ESCA & Chisholm 27 Review

  • Rating Quality Have Dropped (Rating 2.4/5)
I have visited Esca many times on many different deals over the past few years. They have proven to be excellent value for money backed up by excellent food. I voted this restaurant no. 1 in my own list of restaurants. My wife and I came with 3 guests. My pate was served in what is best described as an egg cup with some toasted bread and a very small salad garnish. It was pizzas all round and had we been dining ourselves, they would have all been sent back as they were burnt round the outside and the round salami meat had seen better days. My tomato base was stuck to the bread. Only the thought of embarrassing my guests prevented me from doing this. To be fair, we were asked by the waitress if everything was fine and replied by saying yes. This experience was a real pity as I have always enjoyed dining at Esca. I'll now give some time to get back to the good old days. Never worth the money on this occasion.
