We booked the 2 courses and glass of wince for £14.50 deal. Good choice on the menu and service lovely. However food a bit disappointing. Small portions of mussels, half a slice of bread per person - fair enough. But the special fish of the day was haddock and chips - it was greasy and seemed to have been slapped on top of a portion of greasy chip shop style chips, no veg or salad or peas. The pork escalope was a bit better though very chewy. The beef was declared to be excellent. Coffee and tablet was fine. We would go back for the staff and the warm cosy atmosphere, but not the food I'm afraid.
