Once again Citation did not disappoint, we had a lovely meal and the waiting staff could not have been any more professional. Will certainly be back.

Citation Taverne & Restaurant, housed within the landmark former Sheriff Court building in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, offers a variety of classic and contemporary dishes to suit every taste.
An outdoor terrace allows alfresco opportunities in the summer months while the restaurant’s Portico, nestled among the building’s outdoor towering Corinthian style columns, is perhaps the most impressive dining spot in Glasgow.
Citation is the ideal location for a romantic meal, night out with friends or long and lazy lunch. Those who want to carry on the socialising can head to the ground floor bar.
Scottish and European dishes
Citation’s menu blends Scottish and European classics created using seasonal Scottish produce.
Head chef Mark Stocks has a career that includes working in a Michelin star restaurant in London as well as under celebrity chef Gary Rhodes.
Dishes on the a la carte menu include a rump of Perthshire lamb, beer battered haddock or Shetland cod or moules frites served with French bread.
The menu also has a separate grill section which features Simon Howie rare prime Scottish beef, whole grilled seabass and langoustines, among other dishes.
Those with a sweet tooth can feast their eyes on Citation’s mouthwatering range of desserts which include hot chocolate fondant, apple and blackberry brioche Charlotte, and iced rum and raisin parfait.

Located in Glasgow’s Merchant City, a short walk from Arygle Street, Queen Street and High Street stations, Citation is well served by public transport links.
St Enoch subway station is also a short walk away, as is a taxi rank at George Square.
