I ate in Arisaig last night on the 5pm/Pre-Theatre menu. My starter (the crab cakes), although a little small, was very tasty. However, when my main arrived (arbroath smoky risotto) I was astounded by how small the dish was. Admittedly it was very tasty, but literally within a few forkfuls it was gone. I cannot understand the reason for serving such a tiny portion of an inexpensive dish such as this. I hastily ordered some thick cut chips to try to stave off my hunger, and was further disappointed (although by this point not surprised) when a very small bowl of chips was served to me. Their blandness also offset all the lovely flavours within the few forkfuls of risotto. What a disappointment the meal turned out to be, I definitely would not recommend this restaurant.
