Unfortunately the evening which we attended Arisaig for dinner there was staffing issues which led to us waiting an hour and and half between our starter and main courses. We were informed by a waitress that the reason for this was that a chef had walked out during the shift and left them in the lurch. We were given a free bottle of red wine to compensate for our wait which was a nice touch and the staff couldn't have been more friendly, apologetic or accommodating. However, the wait between courses was particularly frustrating, even if it was not the fault of the remaining staff in the restaurant, hence the lower score for service. Would return for the quality of food but would hope that this was indeed a one off and that the wait for our meal would be quicker if we did.
