Had quite a pleasant afternoon tea here yesterday. A lovely chilled glass of prosecco to start with, quickly followed by the tea stand holding the goodies. At first the content seemed a bit sparse as the items were all very small, however they turned out to be quite filling. An issue with the horseradish dressing on the beef sandwich was quickly and efficiently dealt with and apart from that there were no real issues. Nice warm scones, although the lemon cake tasted a bit of bicarbonate of soda and the chocolate brownie was a bit chewy. Staff were extremely pleasant and we weren't at all rushed, despite the restaurant being busy. To be honest, it wasn't the best afternoon tea I've had but the whole experience wouldn't put me off making a return visit as the staff and service were so good.
