    pre Hydro food

Really tasty food with attentive service, even on such a busy night. Perfect pre Hydro venue and amazing value on 5pm deal.

Great choice for a pre gig catch up

My friends came up from London to attend a gig at the Hydro. This restaurant is a short walk from the venue and the train station, and the deal is much better value for money than closer to the venue. The staff made my friends and I very welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. The only downside was that they had run out of some of the food options and some of the soft drink options. I guess they must have been busy.

Modern Italian restaurant in Finnieston

Panevino is the latest Italian in the Finnieston area of Glasgow’s West End. It is a modern venue with a comfortable and relaxing surroundings, ideal for a family meal or dinner with friends.

Italian regional flavours

Panevino’s chefs try to keep the menu both imaginative and authentic with various regional flavours coming through in their dishes. Produce evolves with the seasons and comes from local and Italian suppliers. The espresso coffee, for instance, is imported directly from Andalo Valtellina from Lake Garda.

Typical starters include the crostino napoletano, garlic rubbed toasted Italian bread topped with broccoli napoletani and crispy pancetta. Main courses cover pasta, risotto and meat dishes and include lasagne al ragu’, layers of egg pasta with oxtail, beef, veal and pork ragu’ and béchamel sauce.

A signature main dish for lamb lovers is the herb crust rack of lamb served pink on a buttery potato mash with a rich red wine and rosemary jus and fagioli.
