Viva Bothwell Street Review

  • Rating Rating 4/5
The service was fast & very good. The food in general was quite good but there were a few things that I was disappointed by. We had ordered a bakest of rosemary & garlic foccaccia but then taste of rosemary was so overpowering that one could taste nothing else. The seasoning was also quite inadequate & most of us had to add salt to the foccaccia. The meatball starter was quite good & I had followed this up with a veal coated in breadcrumbs main course. Despite checking with the waitress whether it would be too dry & being reassured that it wouldn't be, it still was, which was a bit disappointing. Another friend had ordered medium rear steak which he said was nothing special. But the pasta variety was very good & all the past dishes that were ordered was also very good. The food is excellent value for money given that the portion sizes are quite substantial.
