We visited in early December, a time when restaurants are often in full Christmas mode; the Western Club did this subtly with turkey and Christmas pud both featuring. We ate from the a la carte menu - my scallops were succulent, husband's pork belly tender and well seasoned; the venison main was cooked to perfection - rare but not bleeding. I enjoyed three different cheeses, ripe and at room temperature, my husband enjoyed the variation on Christmas pudding. The service was good and not obtrusive. We are looking for a reason to return!
