The Honours is a contemporary French brasserie in the Malmaison hotel on West George Street. Developed by the highly respected, Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart, The Honours combines seasonal, Scottish flavours with innovative, brasserie-influenced dishes. The chef’s interpretation of a Parisian brasserie, the restaurant features a chic and sophisticated décor that matches the elegance of the food served. This is the second branch of The Honours after the original opened in Edinburgh in 2011.
As well as a set menu at lunch and in the early evening, The Honours runs a very inviting a la carte menu. Alongside classic brasserie options such as blanquette of veal; rabbit in mustard and apple tart Tatin, there are more contemporary dishes such as crab cappuccino and fillets of John Dory served with leeks and mussels in a curry and Sauternes sauce.
The popular grill section of the menu features dry-aged, grass-fed steaks from the butcher Donald Russell in addition to Himalayan salt-aged beef from Glenarm estate and USDA certified Black Angus beef from Creekstone Farm.
The Honours at Malmaison is on West George Street in Glasgow city centre. Queen Street and Central railway stations are a brisk ten minute walk. There is some on-street pay parking and a pay car park on nearby Bath Street. The Hydro concert venue is a short taxi ride away while the King’s Theatre is a five minute walk for guests who would like a pre-theatre meal.
