Saturday night and booked through 5pm with 20% off a la carte. I have eaten here many times before and always good. Sadly this time it was poor. Cullen skink was served stone cold. The lamb shanks, which I've had before at this restaurant, had not been cooked long enough. Had to cut it like a steak and was totally tasteless. It should have been falling off the bone. Oily onion rings were served too. Basically a poor value meal even at 20% off the menu price. Waiting staff were apologetic and coffee was on the house as were 2 glasses of Cava. Staff blamed the poor food on them being overly busy which is a nonsense excuse. I replied that the kitchen should ensure the food is superb if they are busy or they won't remain busy. Will go back and try another time.
