Strata Review

  • Rating Disappointing :( (Rating 2/5)
I've had several meals at Strata and I've always enjoyed the food...however yesterdays meal was very sis and I went with the 2 courses each plus bottle of wine for £33.95. The wine, a shiraz, was lovely and our waitress, with fab pink hair was lovely :) My sis had fish and chips..I ordered mac was eugh!!! was tasteless, the macaroni wasn't cooked properly and it must have been sitting as it was congealed..just awful! There was a tall waiter who was lovely and immediately apologised and I ordered fish and chips instead. Both myself and sis found the fish and chips average..nice fish but not nice batter..chips still had peel, which was lovely but they were a bit 'droopy'. The sticky toffee pudding was lovely but could have done with been a wee bit hotter..still, very tasty :) When the bill came, it was £41.95..I went up to bar and was not happy..the other waitress actually put her hand up and said she would sort it...a wee bit seems another waiter thought we had had 3 courses, anyway, I actually felt they should have apologised again about the poor mac cheese and have offered at least a 10% discount. The experience has certainly put me off going back.
