Arrived at the restaurant and we were the only diners at first. Food was nice but it was the extremely slow service that let it down. Initially the staff were friendly and helpful, however when we asked why there had been such a long wait between starters and mains, and then again between mains and desserts, the attitude of the staff quickly changed! After speaking to two waitresses, the first told us she would pass this on to a manager, she obviously did not as no manager came. After we asked the second one, a manager eventually came. Very blase attitude, informed us it takes 20 minutes to pan fry chicken from fresh, I have no issue with that, until it goes well over the 20 minutes! Especially as we were the only diners!! Yet he said we were not the only diners, unsure how he knows this as he wasn't there when we arrived! When asked what the reason was for wait between mains and desserts, no explanation given. My boyfriends lemon sponge dessert had to be sent back as it was dried out and clearly not fresh, this was removed from the bill. I am disappointed as the food itself was very tasty and after dining here several times, I will not be returning due to the poor attitude of staff.
