    Pre-Theatre Meal

6 of us ate here before a show in the Pavilion on the Pre-Theatre menu. We were early for our booking but were taken right away and greeted warmly. The waiting staff were excellent, smiling and attentive. Lovely music playing in the background, great atmosphere and restaurant was almost full. Menu choice was great with wine/prosecco choice. Food arrived very quickly, food was hot and extremely delicious. Lovely wine and cocktails. First time for everyone in our party and they all commented how Roma was an excellent choice. I had made the booking and it was part of a 40th birthday celebration so I was so pleased it all went well. I would highly recommend Roma Glasgow.

Welcoming Italian restaurant in Glasgow city centre

Situated on Bath Street close to the Buchanan Galleries, Roma is a restaurant offering a blend of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Roma aims to provide high quality food and service, and prides itself on their experienced chefs using the finest of fresh produce to achieve traditional Italian flavours.

The traditional decor, wooden tables and spacious booths adds to Roma’s warm and relaxing atmosphere, and it is also wheelchair accessible. While the restaurant is popular for couples and families alike, Roma can also cater for larger groups for a number of occasions and celebrations.

Varied menu with Italian & Mediterranean dishes

The chefs at Roma use their culinary expertise to create a range of dishes to suit everyone. Some starters featured on the restaurant’s menu include the chicken wings which are slow roasted with garlic, chilli & spices, rosemary and blended fresh tomatoes; or the pane casareccio is a simple yet delicious starter with freshly baked crusty Italian bread served with olives, extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar.

Signature dishes include Roma’s risotto rice tossed with roast chicken and peas with a hint of garlic; the Cajun salmon which is served with salad and dressing; and the penne puttanesca with olives, capers, anchovies, basil and a rich arabiatta sauce.

Bath Street location, Queen Street train station access

Roma is in a prime location on Bath Street in the centre of Glasgow, just yards from Buchanan Galleries and shopping hub Sauchiehall Street. Ideally placed for pre-theatre outings to the Pavilion and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Queen Street train station is a 5 minute walk away, and Buchanan Street Subway station mere moments from the restaurant. Bus stops can also be found nearby.
