Red Onion Review

  • Rating Red Onion (Rating 3.6/5)
Had lunch at the Red Onion and right off the bat I have to say the food was very nice. We had the goats cheese and bang bang chicken for starters and both were excellent. My partner had the risotto and I had the Lemon chicken and I thought the lemon, korma and coriander worked very well together. Compliments to the chef. On the downside, the staff seemed to forget about us for about 20 minutes after giving us our drinks, which were ridiculously overpriced. £9 for a pint of coke, a pint of soda water and lime and a small glass of soda water and lime is well over the top. The cola isn't even a pint but 2 small bottles in a pint glass. At £2 per bottle its the most expensive non-pint of cola I've had in a long time. Still the staff were extremely friendly and the food was really nice so certainly more pros than cons and will certainly go back one day.
