My girlfriend and I went for dinner after work around 5.30pm and were the first diners of the evening. However, as we ate another 4 or 5 tables came in and as the staff sat us all in the same section of the restaurant the atmosphere was better than it might have been. We have dined here several times before and the food lived up to the high standards we have come to expect. I had the catch of the day which was swordfish coated in mozzarella with french beans and baby potatoes - it was wonderful! My girlfriend had the seafood pasta which had a good portion of mussells, scallops and prawns through it. She opted fo the lemon and parsley sauce which worked well. We had sides of chips and garlic bread and while they were both loevely they were in fact unneccessary as the food alongside the large bread basket would have sufficed. As always the staff were superb - still don't really get why they are all foreign though - but that's not a bad thing as I like a little European flavour when I go out as it makes me feel like I'm on holiday! Our meal came to around £30 and with the 25% discount on 5pm we only had to pay £22.35 although we added a nice tip which we felt was well deserved. Thanks to 5pm for the discount and thanks to the Mussell Inn for the meal. We'll be there again sometime soon.
